Men’s Tennis Rises to the Occasion, Tops Endicott 6-1

DUDLEY, Mass. (4/8/2026) - The Nichols College men's tennis team hosted Endicott College on Wednesday for a top-seeded Conference of New England (CNE) clash. The Bison were in form for the game, routing the Gulls in a dominant 6-1 win.

With the victory, Nichols improves to a 7-6-1 record for the overall season. Furthermore, their CNE record jumps to 6-1, now the No. 2 team in conference standings surpassing the Gulls. Endicott drops to 7-7, 5-1 in the CNE.

The Bison established control early by sweeping all three doubles matches to take the opening point and seize momentum. At No. 1 doubles, the pairing of Rodolfo Hernandez and William Albrikes delivered a solid 6-4 victory. Jodha Singh and Mason Harris followed with an impressive showing at No. 2, cruising to a 6-2 win, while Felipe Gonzalez and Ezra Raphael capped off the doubles sweep with a 6-4 result in the third position.

Holding a 1-0 lead heading into singles play, Nichols continued to apply pressure across the lineup, ultimately winning five of six matches to secure the decisive team victory. Hernandez led the charge in singles with a composed performance at No. 3, earning a straight-set win (7-5, 6-3). Gonzalez followed with one of the most dominant efforts of the afternoon at No. 4, controlling play throughout in a 6-3, 6-1 victory.

Alexander Snitko and Raphael each added points with strong outings. Snitko battled through a tight second set to earn a 6-4, 7-6 win at No. 5, while Raphael secured a 7-5, 6-4 victory in the sixth spot. At the top of the lineup, Albrikes was tested in a highly competitive No. 1 singles match. After taking the opening set 6-2, he dropped the second before regrouping in the deciding super tiebreak, ultimately pulling out a 10-5 win to give Nichols another point.

Endicott managed to pick up its lone point at No. 2 singles, where Jodha Singh battled in a tightly contested three-set match. After claiming the first set 6-3, Singh pushed the match to a super tiebreak before narrowly falling, 10-7, in a hard-fought effort.

Men's Tennis will return to play at University of Hartford, looking to extend their conference winning on Saturday, April 11th. Match start is set for 1:00 PM.
