DUDLEY, Mass. (4/29/2026) – The Nichols College baseball program's outfielder
Adam Pivacek earned national recognition on Wednesday, April 29th, being named to D3Baseball.com's National Team of the Week in the designated hitter position for week 11. This is the junior's second honor received this week after being named Conference of New England (CNE) Player of the Week on Monday.
Pivacek played four games last week for the Bison, finishing with a .600 batting average on six hits with five runs and ten RBIs. He recorded four extra-base hits, including two doubles, a two-run home run, and a grand slam for a 1.400 slugging average. He was also walked 3 times for a .692 on-base percentage and did not strike out in any at-bat.
This is the baseball program's first D3Baseball.com Team of the Week representative since Graduate Student Jim Marasco was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for third base on March 6th, 2024. In that week, Marasco finished batting 9-18 (.500) with three home runs, a triple, a double, five singles with 14 RBI and seven runs scored for the Bison. He also hit for the cycle against the University of St. Joseph (CT) that week.
Pivacek joins Nichols football's Jack Morvan as the second Bison to receive national recognition this year, with Morvan being named to D3Football.com National Team of the Week on September 23rd, 2025.
The Bison close out the regular season on Friday, May 1st, when they host Wentworth for a CNE doubleheader. Game one starts at 11 AM.
