PREVIEW: Men’s Tennis Prepared For Semifinal Against No. 3 Endicott College

DUDLEY, Mass. (4/27/2026) - No. 2 Nichols College men's tennis team is set to host the No. 3 Endicott College Gulls in a Conference of New England (CNE) semifinal bout on Tuesday, April 28th. Hosted at the Robinson Tennis Courts, match start is set for 3:30 PM, unchanged from the moved date of 4/29.

Historically, the Bison boast an impressive 23-3 all-time record against the Gulls, a win column extended this regular season earlier this month with a dominant 6-1 win (4/8/2026). The appearance marks 15 straight seasons the Bison have appeared in the semifinal for their respective conference.

How it Can Unfold:
  • Should Nichols win they will play the winner of the semifinal match up between No. 1 seeded Roger Williams University and No. 4 Colby-Sawyer College.
  • A Bison win with a Hawks win would result in the men's tennis team traveling to Bristol and being hosted for the championship, with the inverse to occur should Colby-Sawyer claim victory.

Regular Season Records:
  • Nichols College finished with an 11-6-1 record for the overall season, capping the season off with a 10-1 conference record.
  • Endicott College finished 13-7 all together, with a mirrored conference record of 10-1.
  • The top three seeds in the conference all finished with the same CNE record of 10-1, activating a triple-tiebreak that gave the Bison the No. 2 with their head-to-head record against the Gulls 1-0 for the regular season.

Nichols will lean on a strong core of power players heading into the upcoming match, led by No. 1 William Albrikes, who holds an 8-5 overall record and has been reliable in dual play at 7-5. In the middle of the lineup, Rodolfo Hernandez (8-7) and Felipe Gonzalez (8-6) bring consistency and depth, while Alexander Snitko has been one of the team's most productive players with a 12-5 mark, including an unbeaten 4-0 stretch in one position.

At the back end, Ezra Raphael (6-5) continues to provide stability, and Andrew Emmel stands out with an impressive 8-1 record. In doubles, the pairing of Albrikes and Hernandez has been dominant at 6-2, with Raphael and Gonzalez also contributing a solid 6-3 mark.

Nichols' dominant form against Endicott earlier in the season will be tested yet again in their road to the CNE Championship, which is set for play on Saturday, May 2nd.
