Women’s Tennis Ends Spring Stint with Loss to Connecticut College, 4-3

DUDLEY, Mass. (4/18/2026) - The Nichols College women's tennis team dropped a narrow 4-3 decision to Connecticut College on Saturday morning at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

With the result, Nichols moves to 15-4 on the season, while Connecticut College improves to 6-9.

Nichols opened the match strong by claiming the doubles point, taking two of three contests. The No. 1 pairing of Kamora Helton and Pamela Gonzalez Vallardi earned a convincing 6-1 victory, while Charis Vogler and Cora Brosch secured a 6-4 win at No. 2. Connecticut College avoided the sweep with a win at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, the Bison picked up wins at the top of the lineup, but Connecticut College rallied to take four of the six matches overall. Helton continued her standout performance with a straight-set 6-3, 6-5 win at No. 1, while Vogler added a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 2.

The Camels secured the team victory with wins at No. 3 through 6 singles, overcoming Nichols' early advantage from doubles play.
