Nichols College Athletics

MANSFIELD, Conn. (4/17/2026) - The Nichols College men's track & field team competed Friday morning at the Bonnie Edmonson Classic, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) at the Mansfield Outdoor Complex. Behind a collection of individual performances across the meet, the Bison recorded 53 team points, placing seventh among eight competing programs.

Gregory Sadlak tabbed a program record with his time of 1:57.89 in the men's 800m run, replacing the last top-mark of 1:58.87 by Jack Hearn (2022-25) at the Ed Daniels Invite (4/14/2025). Braxton Rocha continues to improve on his men's triple jump record, notching a 12.78m finish and replacing his previous record of 12.70m. 

Liam Wilcox set the men's pole vault record with 3.85m, replacing the previous distance of 3.80m set by himself at the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship. Nolan Charbonneau's mark of 50.75 in the men's 400m dash becomes the second-best time in the program.

The Bison see two provisional qualifiers in Sadlak for the men's 800m run and Charbonneau for the 400m dash.

Men's track & field will return to competition at the CNE Championship, starting on Friday, April 24th and ending the day following, hosted by Gordon College.
