BEVERLEY, Mass. (3/30/2026) - The Conference of New England (CNE) revealed its weekly award winners on Monday, March 30, with Nichols College men's track & field earning recognition.
Freshman
Hunter Schiller was awarded not only Field Rookie of the Week, but also honored with the Field Athlete of the Week award. Schiller being the recipient of these two awards marks them the first of his collegiate career.
Schiller won the Men's Shot Put Open with his distance of 12.38m, a leading factor for his recognition this week.
Previously, Schiller has steadily made his presence felt in the throwing events for Nichols this season, highlighted by a pair of strong performances in the shot put. He first posted a mark of 12.02m at the Wesleyan Indoor Invitational in January, establishing an early benchmark, before improving to a 12.07m at the Brown Invitational in February.Â
Men's track & field will travel to Springfield College to continue their outdoor season at the Springfield Triangle Classic. Competition will be hosted at Blake Track & Field, with both teams starting at 10:30 AM.
