Nichols College Athletics

 SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (3/30/2026) - The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) announced the DIII Team of the Week for Week 6 of the 2026 season, selecting Nichols men's lacrosse players Conor Doherty and Shea Ullo for Week 6.
 
The duo played in two Conference of New England games last week, picking up a 10-8 win over the University of New England and a massive 16-7 win against Johnson & Wales University.
 
In Wednesday's game against the Nor'easters, junior Shea Ullo scored four goals and added an assist, while senior Conor Doherty scored two goals and two assists. The duo followed that performance with another standout outing versus the Wildcats, with Ullo contributing four goals and two assists and Doherty scoring seven goals on his eight shots on goal. In both games, Ullo and Doherty scored over half the goals the Bison scored in the game, serving as the driving force for the program's perfect conference record for the week.
 
For the week, Ullo, the native of Bourne, Massachusetts, totaled eight goals and three assists for 11 points, shooting 23 times with 14 shots on goal (.609 SOG%). Beyond scoring, he made an impact across the field with six ground balls and only five turnovers, highlighting his all-around contribution to Nichols' success. 
 
Doherty finished the week with nine goals and two assists for 11 points, converting over half the shots he took in the week. The Billerica, Massachusetts native also scored the game-winner in both games, while limiting his turnovers to only six.
 
Ullo, Doherty, and the Nichols men's lacrosse program return to action on Wednesday, April 1st, when they travel to face the University of Hartford for a 4 PM start time.
