Harty Honored With CNE Player of the Week

BEVERY, Mass. (3/30/2026) – The Nichols College baseball program's sophomore first baseman Collin Harty earned Conference of New England (CNE) Player of the Week honors on March 30th for his performance this past week.
 
In the two games played last week, Collin Harty recorded four hits in seven at bats with one double and two home runs, with both home runs coming in a conference comeback win against Curry College. Harty ended the week with six runs and four RBIs, being walked twice as well. Harty's batting average for the week was .571, with an on base percentage of .667 and a slugging percentage of 1.571. At first base, Harty had a total of 18 chances in the field, with 16 put outs and two assists for zero errors and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
 
This is Harty's second CNE weekly honor, with the Whitinsville, Massachusetts native being honored CNE Rookie of the Week last season on May 5th, 2025. The last Bison to earn conference Player of the Week honors was Brennan Hyde '24, when he won CCC Player of the Week on April 30th, 2024.
 
Harty currently ranks four-way tie for 2nd most home runs (4), tied for 3rd for most RBIs (16), 5th in OPS (1.067), 6th in slugging percentage (.644), and 7th in put-outs (96).
 
Harty and the baseball program are underway for their second game of their conference doubleheader against Roger Williams University at the Paolino Field.
