Women’s Basketball Places Trio on CSC Academic All-District Team

– Nichols women's basketball's Rylee Barrieault, Angie Coletti and Adriana Romano have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, as announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Nominated student-athletes must be at least a sophomore (athletically and academically), a starter in 66 percent of their respective institutions games, or a participant in at least 90 percent of the contests while holding a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Barrieault, a junior real estate management major from Winchendon, Massachusetts, appeared in all of Nichols' 25 games this season, making 24 starts. She finished the season ranked third on the team in overall scoring (165), with an average of 6.6 points per game and a 28.1% field goal percentage. Her stat line also included 75 rebounds, 31 assists, 29 steals and two blocks, and a season-high 27-point performance at Colby-Sawyer College on November 15th, a career-high mark for the junior guard.

Coletti, a fellow junior and general business major from Quincy, Massachusetts, was another key member of the Bison this past season, starting in 23-of-25 appearances. Her season stat line included a team-high 137 rebounds and 21 blocks, in addition to 130 points scored on 32.9% shooting. She also finished the season ranked second on the team in both assists (47) and steals (42), with her steals total also ranking sixth in the CNE.

Romano, the lone senior of the bunch and a finance major from Newington, Connecticut, was a mainstay member of Nichols' starting corps this season, starting in all 25 games. A team captain in 2025-26, she ranked second on the team in scoring (205) with a 34.5 shooting percentage, with an average of 27.2 minutes per game. Also, she chalked up 122 rebounds, 54 steals and a team-high 85 assists, which ranked third across the CNE with an average of 3.4 per game.

Romano is now a three-time recipient of CSC Academic All-District honors in her career, while Barrieault picks up the honors for the second time. Coletti is a first-time honoree from CSC.
