Esports Spends Weekend at Baldwin Wallace Invitational

BEREA, Ohio (3/24/2026) – Four members of the Nichols Esports program made a trip out to northeast Ohio this past weekend to compete in the Baldwin Wallace University Invitational.

The Bison were represented by freshman Aidan Parisi (Drafty) and Tristan Spivey (Kondiie), graduate student Colby Allen (Sundown), and senior Andrew Oricchio (pyyros) for the program's Call of Duty "A" team.

"Over the course of the weekend, I felt the COD team was thorough for their level of play," said Head Coach Dominick Vignato. "The competition there was a great test for the squad, as it proved that the progression was there since the roster change. [Parisi] was excellent throughout the weekend, truly representing the college in an excellent manor. That was proven by the acknowledgement of Ruuner-Up in MVP voting. Oricchio, turned a lot of heads as there was doubt from other teams as to how he would fill some of the vacant spots. Overall, I am proud of how the team did, and believe that we are in line to make some noise in NACE National qualifiers and the CCL Regionals."

Final Placing and Awards
  • Overall, the Bison finished 4th out of 12 competing programs.
  • Parisi finished 2nd in MVP Voting, landing only behind No. 12 ranked member of the Ohio State program. Parisi finished ranked 2nd in Overall K/D during the event (1.41), and 1st in Overall Search and Destroy K/D (2.12).
  • Allen finished 3rd in Overload Dunks during the event (14).
