Bourque with First CNE Rookie of the Week Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. (3/23/2026) – First-year standout Kaylyn Bourque delivered an outstanding week, leading the Nichols College women's lacrosse team offensively in two dominant victories and earning her first Conference of New England Rookie of the Week honors.

Bourque helped the Bison to an 18-4 win over Gordon on March 17, erupting for 6 goals and 1 assist (7 points) while placing 12 of 13 shots on goal for an impressive .923 SOG percentage. She followed that performance with another strong outing in a 13-3 victory at Wentworth on March 21, contributing 4 goals and 3 assists (7 points).

For the week, Bourque totaled 10 goals and 4 assists for 14 points, recording 16 shots on goal on 23 attempts (.695 SOG%). Beyond scoring, she made an impact across the field with 4 ground balls, 7 draw controls, and 4 caused turnovers, highlighting her all-around contribution to the Bison's success.

Bourque's ability to dominate offensively while contributing in multiple facets of the game was key to Nichols' 2-0 week, outscoring opponents 31-7. 

Bourque and Womens's Lacrosse will be back home for their next matchup where they take on the Colonels of Curry College this Wednesday, March 25th at 4:00 PM for their staff and faculty game.
