Four Scorers Highlight Women's Ice Hockey Win at Suffolk, 4-2

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (2/7/2026) - The Nichols College women's ice hockey team traveled to Suffolk University for their conference match-up against the Rams at the Louis E. Porrazzo Memorial Skating Rink. After three periods of play, the Bison skated off with another conference win in the book, 4-2.

Following their win, the Bison improve to a 6-16-0 record with a 3-12-0 record in the Conference of New England (CNE). Suffolk drops in their record to 5-14-2, 5-7-2 for matches against CNE opponents.

The first period saw a standout performance in the net from goaltender Taylor Daley early on, defending two power-plays at 14:59 and 12:16 to keep the Bison afloat for an answer. The answer did come for Nichols, at 5:27 off a power-play goal from Sienna Reeves, marking her third goal on the season. Assists were credited to Kaylyn Bourque and Rhea Bullens for their contributions to the play, putting the Bison up on the Rams 1-0. Suffolk soon returned with a goal of their own at 4:37, equalizing 1-1. A couple shots and good defensive efforts followed, with both teams skating off in even standing.

The Bison were able to form a lead early in the second with a power-play score from Keira Goffe at 14:04. The score marks a double-digit season for Goffe with ten on the season, with the score being assisted by Cela MacDougall and Sophie Costello-Krakowski. Up 2-1, the Bison were able to defend seven shots before Suffolk was able to get their break, scoring at 9:51 to even out the score in a similar song-and-dance as the first, 2-2. The Bison offense was able to produce 13 shots following the goal before the end of the period, but skated off even.

Isabelle Brennan notched herself as the third goal-scorer on the night with her score at 17:43, giving Nichols yet another lead change in their favor, up 3-2. Brennan was assisted by Kasey Litwin and Macdougall with her second contribution in the respective stat column on the night. The Bison were then able to solidify their win at 1:12 on an empty goal, a puck finding the net by way of Angalisa Caceda assisted by Brennan and Litwin for her second time in the game. Nichols left the ice at the horn with a win, 4-2.

Women's ice hockey will return to competition at Johnson & Wales University on Friday, February 13th, at Lynch Arena. The game is set to start at 7:00 PM.
