BIDDEFORD, Maine (2/28/2026) – The No.5 Nichols College men's ice hockey team traveled up to Maine for the CNE tournament semifinals against No. 1 University of New England on Saturday night. After three periods of play, the Bison fell to the Nor'easters 10-0.
 
After tonight's game, the Bison ended their season with a record of 11-15-1 (7-12-1 CNE). UNE advances to the championship game of the CNE tournament with a 21-5-0 (17-3-0 CNE).
 
UNE scored a goal from Dominic Murphy 89 seconds into the first period, setting the tone for the night. The Nor'easters went on to score ten unanswered goals, ending the game with the final score of 10-0.
 
All three Bison goaltenders saw time in the final game of the season.
 
The game marked the completion of the Bison's 2025-26 campaign.
