Women's Track & Field Breaks Three Records at Tufts Cupid Challenge

MEDFORD, MA (2/13-14/2026) - The Nichols College women's track & field team traveled to Tufts University to compete in the two-day Tufts Cupid Challenge across Friday and Saturday, seeing action at the hosting Jumbos' Gantcher Center.

Addison Dawe is highlighted with yet another strong performance in throws. Dawe reset the program record in the weight throw with a mark of 12.50 meters and added a personal best in the shot put of 8.82. The weight throw attempt toppled Dawe's prior No. 1 record of 12.43m set at Wesleyan Indoor Invite II. Haley Bethin established a new school record in the shot put at 10.49 meters, a mark that posted a No. 3 finish in the women's shot put, replacing the former No. 1 program record of 9.92m set by herself at the CNE Championship (4/25/2025). Emma Chaffer also added a PR in the weight throw with 9.71m as the Bison continued to stack improvements across the events in Day 1.

Gabby McKayle led the way with a 7th place finish in the 200m dash, breaking the school record for indoor with a time of 27.02. The time replaces the previous No. 1 record of 27.34, set by McKayle at the Wesleyan Indoor Relays (1/25/2025). The Bison also saw strong sprint improvements from Lili Mansuell (8.964) and Alanna Siqueira (9.682), who each posted personal bests in the 60m dash.

Women's track & field will return to competition at Brown University for the Brown Invitational on Saturday, February 21st. They are set to compete at the Olney-Margolies Athletic Center.
