Men's Ice Hockey Falls to No. 8 Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. (2/14/2026) – The Nichols College men's ice hockey team dropped a 6-2 road decision to No. 8 Endicott College Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England action.
 
Endicott struck early, opening the scoring just 1:13 into the first period when Noah Gibbs finished off a feed from Louie Kamienski and Sebastian Speck. The Gulls doubled the lead at 12:02 behind Conner Chalmers. Nichols responded late in the opening frame on the power play. With 57 seconds remaining, Zach Vandale buried a goal off assists from Aidan Flynn and Alexis Trudeau to cut the deficit to 2-1 heading into the first intermission.
 
Endicott regained momentum early in the second period, as Speck netted the eventual game-winner at 1:19. The Gulls added a power-play tally at 16:27 from Anthony Cafarelli, assisted by Michael Casey and Peter Sterling, extending the lead to 4-1 after two. CJ Zezima recorded the most shots on goal for the Bison in the period with three.
 
The Bison continued to battle in the third period and capitalized on another power play opportunity at 8:42. Trudeau scored his fifth goal of the season, finishing passes from Jeremy Tremblay and Flynn to bring Nichols within two at 4-2. However, Endicott answered less than three minutes later with a goal from Payton Miller. Casey later sealed the game with a short-handed empty-net goal at 13:18 to finish the game at 6-2.
 
Nichols went 2-for-6 on the power play, while Flynn finished the day with two assists. In net, Liam Choquette made eight saves in the opening 21:18 before Nick Anderson stopped 31 shots in relief.
 
Nichols will look to bounce back in their next Conference of New England contest on Friday, February 20th, when they travel to Roger Williams University to face off against the Hawks. Puck drop is set for 5 PM.
