Women's Soccer Draws WIT in Hallie Linacre Memorial Game

DUDLEY, Mass. (10/19/2026) - The Nichols College women's soccer team battled Wentworth Institute of Technology to a 1-1 draw on Monday evening on Michael J. Vendetti Field.

Following the tie, women's soccer's record overall changes to 2-10-2, 1-5-1 in the Conference of New England (CNE). The Leopards now sit 3-9-3, 1-5-2 in the CNE.

Prior to the game, women's soccer honored Hallie Linacre in an annual memorial sequence now a tradition for the Bison. The Hallie Linacre Memorial Game celebrates Hallie's legacy as a student-athlete on The Hill and recognizes the lasting impact of her character, values, and spirit, which continue to serve as pillars of the Nichols women's soccer program.

After a scoreless first half, the Bison broke through in the 53rd minute when senior defender Alyssa Senecal found the back of the net for her second goal of the season. Senecal finished a scoring opportunity off assists from Schylar Locasto and Rylyn McInnis to give Nichols a 1-0 advantage.

Wentworth responded less than a minute later, with Lily Carlson scoring in the 54th minute off a feed from Olivia Coish to even the score at 1-1.

Nichols continued to apply pressure throughout the second half, finishing with a 14-13 advantage in shots and an 11-5 edge in shots on goal. The Bison also earned three corner kicks compared to two for the Leopards.

Senecal led the Nichols attack with five shots, all of which were on target, while Maggi Cullivan added two shots on goal. McInnis contributed an assist and a shot on goal, while Locasto also recorded an assist.

Defensively, Elizabeth Johnson spent the full 90 minutes in net and recorded a save on the night.

Hannah Pratt, Cullivan, Gianna Masciadrelli, Senecal and Summer Bruno each played all 90 minutes for the Bison. McGuire Avitable logged 76 minutes, while Cassie Rice played 74 minutes and McInnis contributed 63 minutes off the bench.

The Bison return to action Wednesday, October 21, when they travel to face Roger Williams University. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
