Vincent’s Record-Breaking Week Secures NEVC Athlete of the Week

DUDLEY, Mass. (1/27/2026) - Tuesday afternoon, the New England Volleyball Conference (NEVC) announced its weekly award winners. Sophomore outside hitter Adam Vincent earned Conference Athlete of the Week honors following an outstanding four-match stretch against Rivier University, No. 17 St. John Fisher, Nazareth, and Penn State Behrend at the Nazareth Invitational.

This honor marks Vincent's first NEVC weekly award of the season and the first of his collegiate career. The sophomore currently sits second in the conference in total kills with 57.

Vincent put together a dominant week, powering the Nichols offense with 60 kills across four matches while averaging 4.29 kills per set and an impressive 5.07 points per set.

In a home matchup against the Raiders at the Nichols Athletic Center on Jan. 21, Vincent recorded 13 kills while hitting .267, adding two service aces, assists, and eight blocks to lead the Bison to a commanding 3–0 sweep. He finished the match with 16.5 total points.

On the road against No. 17 St. John Fisher on Jan. 23, Vincent once again led the team with seven kills, five service aces, seven digs, and 12.0 points. He followed that performance at the Nazareth Invitational with 13 kills on a .280 hitting percentage against Nazareth, along with one assist and three digs.

His most impressive showing came in a thrilling five-set win over Penn State Behrend (1/24), where he shattered the program's single-match kills record with 27 kills and added three blocks to fuel the victory. Vincent consistently impacted the game on both ends of the court, totaling eight service aces, 24 digs, and five total blocks on the week.

Vincent and the men's volleyball team will return to action on Saturday, January 31st at Rockwell Cage in Cambridge, Mass., for the MIT Tri-Match, where the Bison will face Regis College at 2:00 p.m. followed by a matchup with MIT at 4:00 p.m.
