Nichols College Athletics

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (1/24/2026) - Nichols College men's track & field kick-started their indoor 2026 season at the Wesleyan University hosted Indoor Invite II Saturday morning at the Bacon Field House. 

The invitational saw a standout performance on the day from freshman Braxton Rocha. Rocha's performance in the men's long jump tallied a distance of 6.33m along with a placement of fourth in the event. 

Sophomore Blake Pattison had a special debut as well, placing fourth overall in the men's 60 meters finals with his time of 7.12, which effectively slots him as the best time for the 60m dash in the program record book for the modern era. His time takes the place of teammate Eric Manilut's time of 7.28 at the Wesleyan Indoor Relays last season (1/25/2025). 

Rounding out the first place record holders for the Bison, Nolan Charbonneau's men's 60 hurdles finals time of 8.84, which produced a second place finish in the event,  seals a new top time for the program. Charbonneau's time takes place of the previous record of 8.96 from Ray Pelter (2015-2017) at the Gordon Kelly Invitational (2/11/2017).
