Beverly, Mass. (1/12/2026) – The Nichols women's ice hockey team sees another student-athlete in the Conference of New England weekly honors for the second week in a row, with freshman goaltender Ivy Grand earning the Conference of New England Rookie of the Week for January 12th. Grant played a massive part in the Bison's win over the University of New England on Saturday, which saw the Bison earn their first conference win of the season.
Grant, the Pilot Butte, Saskatchewan native, backstopped the Bison in Saturday's Conference of New England game at UNE, where she posted a 1.00 goals against average and a .963 save percentage with 26 saves. This was Grant's second win in the last two starts, with her last win being at Albertus Magnus on January 3rd, which ended the Falcons' undefeated season.
Grant is the first Bison to earn the CNE Rookie of the Week honor since forward
Riley Devlin was honored on November 3rd, 2025 for her 4 point performance on the opening weekend of the season.
Grant and the women's ice hockey team return to the Levy Rink on Friday, January 16th at 4:40 PM for a Conference of New England matchup versus Curry College.
