DUDLEY, Mass. (9/3/2025) – The Bison traveled to Albany, New York, for a non-conference match against Russell Sage College on a sunny Wednesday afternoon. After 90 minutes of tight competition, the Bison came up short, 1-0.

This loss puts Nichols College at 0-3, while Russell Sage College earns its first win of the season and moves to 1-1.
 
Both defenses came out strong in the first half, with neither side able to find the back of the net through 45 minutes.
 
The deadlock would be broken in the 65th minute when the Gators' Gianna Viscusi whipped in a cross to the back post, finding Eva Hirschof, who volleyed it home on her first touch. It marked Gianna Viscusi's first goal of the season.
 
The Bison applied pressure in the final 25 minutes in search of an equalizer, but the Gators held firm to preserve the clean sheet.
 
Sophomore forward Megan Tucker led the Bison attack, recording three shots on the day, including a sixth-minute effort that tested the Gators' goalkeeper.
 
Goalkeeper Isabella Dupret registered another 90 minute performance today, making 11 saves on the 12 shots on goal she faced. The freshman goalkeeper now has 38 saves on the season.
 
The women's soccer team is back on the road on Saturday when they head up to Plymouth State University for a non-conference match. Kick off is set for 12 PM.
