Fitchburg State came out determined in the third, taking the first two points and pushing the Bison into a much tighter frame. The set featured seven ties and two lead changes before Nichols finally gained breathing room with a three-point burst ,Morse and St. Onge kills paired with a Mullen ace, to go up 16-12.
