Nick White shared the individual medalist honors on Tuesday, as the Nichols men's golf team shot a 15-over 299 to win the Brett Williamson Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University at the Tekoa Country Club.
The Bison finished 17 strokes ahead of runner-up finishers Lesley University and Westfield State (A), with the tournament being their first team victory this season.
Desante and White tied for the individual medal at two-over par 73, with Desante earning his second medalist honor this season, and White the first of his collegiate career. The duo also combined for six total birdies in the event, splitting it evenly with three apiece. The Bison also received a boost from third-place finisher
Brady Salah, who finished the tournament at three-over 75, a career-low round for the Nichols junior.
Senior
Jacob Andreozzi also cracked the top 10 for the Bison, carding a seven-over 78 on the day to land a tie for seventh place, with his performance also being a career-low mark by one stroke. Completing the starting five for Nichols was freshman
Trent Pichie, who tied for 23
rd individually at 11-over 82, with one birdie on the back nine.
Nichols returns to action next weekend on October 4-5 for the 2025 Conference of New England Championship, hosted by the University of Hartford at Trumblebrook Country Club.
