DUDLEY, Mass. (7/29/2025) – Nichols women's tennis athlete
Antonia Carrero has been put forward as one of two Conference of New England nominees for the 2024-25 NCAA Woman of the Year & Division III Commissioners Association (DIIICA) Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
Carrero joins Wentworth Institute of Technology's Jessica Rowe (softball) on the national ballot, with the duo having been selected from a list of eight conference finalists.
Carrero recently graduated this spring with a perfect 4.0 GPA in Marketing and Finance. The Hamburg, Germany native was no stranger to conference accolades this past year, earning both the CNE Women's Tennis Player of the Year, as well as the conference's Elite 20 Award. As a two-time Player of the Year between the CNE and formerly known Commonwealth Coast Conference, Carrero has also been a six-time All-Conference First Team selection between singles and doubles, and a five-time CCC/CNE Player of the Week
Additionally in 2024-25, Carrero posted an 8-3 overall record in doubles action, primarily alongside
Johanna Schroeder in the No. 2 flight.
