Normandin Named Interim Head Men’s Volleyball Coach

DUDLEY, Mass. (8/9/2025) – Nichols College Interim Director of Athletics, Kristan Mallet, has announced that Jack Normandin '25 has been named interim head coach of the men's volleyball program.

Normandin takes the reigns after leading the Bison through one of their best seasons in program history, where they followed their third consecutive NEVC Championship title with the program's first NCAA Tournament win. It didn't stop there, as Normandin and the Bison added a second tournament victory over No. 3 Stevens, which was the first time a host institution had been eliminated in NCAA DIII men's volleyball history.

"I am proud to welcome Jack Normandin back to Nichols College as the Interim head men's volleyball coach," said Mallet. "As a standout student-athlete during his time here, Jack understands the tradition, values, and competitive spirit of the men's program.  His passion for the game and connection to our program will inspire our current student-athletes and set the tone for another successful season."

A native of Clifton Park, New York, Normandin brings notable experience to the position, having combined for five seasons between Rivier University and Nichols College as an outside hitter. Throughout his time on The Hill, Normandin appeared 62 career matches across two seasons and totaled 676 kills (3.33 K/S), 379 digs and 83 aces with a .313 hitting percentage. Along with a number of accolades and back-to-back NEVC Championship titles in that span, Normandin was a two-time All-NEVC First Team selection, the 2024 NEVC Player of the Year, an AVCA All-Region I Outside Hitter (2024), and an AVCA Second Team All-American (2024), making him the first player in program history to receive All-American status.

He also holds the program records for single season kills (345), single match hitting percentage (.700), single season digs (234), and single season service aces (45).

"I'm excited to be back on The Hill as the interim men's volleyball coach," said Normandin. "This team is special to me, not only because I had the privilege to play with many of them, but now because I have the opportunity to coach and help each of them develop to reach their potential."
