DUDLEY, Mass. (7/23/2025) - The Nichols College women's lacrosse program has been named a 2025 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad, along with four individual Bison receiving IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll recognition, as announced by the coach's association on Wednesday afternoon.
The IWLCA has named a combined 383 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the full year. Additionally, the IWLCA honored 1,286 student-athletes from 201 different programs on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll, where student-athletes of at least a junior, senior, or graduate student status have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Makala Dube and
Veronica Hill. Muir takes home the award for the second consecutive year, while Houghton, Dube and Hill are each receiving their first academic honors from the IWLCA organization.

Each of the individual Bison honorees were also included in this year's Conference of New England (CNE) Spring Academic All-Conference team, with the program combining for nine altogether. This season, the Bison posted a program-best 13-4-1 (5-3-1 CNE) overall record, which included their first ever postseason victory via a 14-13 (OT) win over the University of New England on April 26
