DUDLEY, Mass. (5/27/2025)
– The Nichols College softball team added to its decorated postseason with four student-athletes earning College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors. Seniors Chelsea Indyk, Chloe Steiniger, junior Allie Silliman, and sophomore Kyla Felicani were all recognized for their excellence on the field and in the classroom.

To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically, carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale, and have played in 90 percent of their team's games or started in at least 66 percent. For pitchers, nominees must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.

Indyk, a native of Easthampton, Mass., was dominant in the circle this season, becoming Nichols' all-time leader in both career and single-season wins, as well as single-season innings pitched and shutouts. She finished her senior campaign with a 22–6 record, five shutouts, 139 strikeouts, and a career-low 1.58 ERA. Indyk also earned NFCA All-Region II honors, was named to the Conference of New England (CNE) First Team and was selected as the conference's Pitcher of the Year. She graduated this May with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a 3.84 GPA.

Steiniger, from Litchfield, N.H., was also a CNE All-Conference performer. She set career highs with 50 hits and 33 runs scored, batting .368 with a .529 slugging percentage.  She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in criminal psychology this May with a 3.80 GPA.

Silliman, a first baseman from Rensselaer, N.Y., earned CNE Defensive Player of the Year and NFCA All-Region II accolades. She set the program record for putouts in a season, bringing her career total to 800, while committing just three errors for a .988 fielding percentage. Offensively, she hit .363 with 53 hits, 32 runs scored, and a .541 slugging percentage. She holds a 3.61 GPA here at Nichols in Sport Management.

Felicani, a sophomore outfielder from Massachusetts, was a consistent presence in left field, starting all 43 games. She tallied 34 hits, 14 runs, and 16 RBI while batting .266 with a .322 slugging percentage. This marks her first career CSC Academic All-District honor. She has a 3.80 GPA in Marketing.

Indyk, Steiniger, and Silliman advance to the national ballot as CSC Academic All-America finalists. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 17, 2025.
