BEVERLY, Mass. (5/1/2025) – The Nichols College women's lacrosse had five members of its 2025 squad earn All-Conference of New England (CNE) recognition, as announced today by the league office on Thursday afternoon.
The compiled list included First Team seniors
Hadley Houghton and
McKenzie Muir, Second Team junior
Briar Slattery, and Third Team selections
Emma Patton and
Sienna Reeves. Both Houghton and Muir are second-time First Team selections, and have received All-Conference honors in each of their four seasons with the program. Patton is now on her second round of postseason honors from the conference, while Slattery and Reeves are first-time recipients.
Houghton, a now back-to-back First Team midfielder from Madison, Connecticut, finished the season as the team leader in points (85) behind 61 goals and 24 assists, as well as draw controls (105), ground balls (63) and free position goals (24) as a starter in all 18 games. Her season scoring included a nine-goal performance in the team's win over Clark University on March 12
th, which tied her second highest total for a single game in her career. She also set the program's record for single season assists this past spring with two against Suffolk University, adding to her impressive list of team records, and also took home two rounds of weekly honors from the conference as both the Player (3/17) and Defensive Player of the Week (4/22).
Muir, also a back-to-back First Team recipient as a defender, earns the accolades fresh off setting the program's record for single season caused turnovers with 44, snapping the original record she set back in 2022 (42). This season, along with leading the team in caused turnovers, she started in all 17 appearances and ranked second on the team with 77 draw controls on the season, as well as 53 ground balls. The Bedford, New Hampshire native also tossed in 13 points offensively, and was named the CNE's Defensive Player of the Week back on March 17
th.
Slattery, a goalkeeper from Woodstock, Ontario, put up improved numbers in her second season with the program as a starter in 17-of-18 games, finishing out the spring with a 12-4-1 overall record, an 11.13 goals against average and a .407 save percentage, all of which ranked in the top five in the CNE. As Nichols' lone Second Team honoree, her efforts in net earned her two rounds of Defensive Player of the Week honors (3/17 & 3/31) throughout the campaign, while her 12 wins this spring also set the program record for single season wins by a goalkeeper.
Patton, a midfielder from Avon Lake, Ohio, started all 18 games this season and finished second the team in goals (41), assists (14), and total points (55), setting career highs in each. The Bison junior was also a frequent contributor in other areas of the field, with a stat line of 53 draw controls, 29 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. Her offensive totals spoke for themselves as a key piece to the program's scoring depth this spring, as she totaled 13 multi-goal performances including seven outings of three or more goals.
Reeves, a midfielder/attacker from Brewster, Massachusetts, made an immediate impact in her first season on The Hill, ranking third on the team in total points (44) behind 39 goals, and five assists. Her season totals also included 13 multi-goal performances, with six games with at least a hat trick, alongside 10 ground balls, seven caused turnovers, and five draw controls.
The Bison also had senior attacker
Ali Vozzo land on the CNE's 2025 Community Service Team. The five Nichols All-Conference honorees is the most the program has earned, all-time, adding to their historic campaign.
