How The Bison Got Here: After receiving a bye through the opening round of the 2025 CNE Tournament, the Bison drew a matchup with No. 4 Endicott College in the Semifinal Round this past Wednesday, where they swiftly defeated the Gulls, 4-1. The result improved Nichols' overall record to 11-11 overall, with the program still showcasing its 9-0 mark against conference opponents.

With the inclusion of the semifinal round against the Gulls, the Bison have now outscored conference opponents by a 62-6 margin.

The Opponent: In their first year with the CNE, the Chargers have immediately left their mark on the conference following their incredible comeback effort against No. 2 seeded Roger Williams University, where they battled back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Hawks, 4-3. Prior to that, the Chargers also dispatched No. 6 University of Saint Joseph (CT) in the CNE First Round, 4-1, who was the other program that followed them over to the CNE from the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) ahead of this year.

As such, Colby-Sawyer will be making its first appearance in the CNE title match.

Who to Watch: Nichols' depth in singles played a major role in their Semifinal win on Wednesday, with seniors Leon Zeis (No. 3), Kerem Subasi (No. 4) and Enzo Matos Balleux (No. 5) delivering dominant performances against the Gulls. Subasi started things out with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at the No. 4 singles, moments before Zeis took the win at No. 3 singles by his own impressive final of 6-2, 6-0. Matos Balleux, who eventually clinched the win for the Bison, claimed his victory by scores of 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles competition, fellow seniors Richard Hartmann Luzio and Caio Dieckmann hold the distinction as Nichols' top duo with a 10-8 (5-0 CNE) record on the season.
