PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (4/7/2025) – The Nichols College men's golf team kicked off its spring season with a sixth-place finish at the Roger Williams University Invitational, held at The Aquidneck Club.
The Bison finished +82 over the two-round event, with Endicott College claiming the team medal (+25) ahead of runner-up Salem State University (+44) in the eight-team field.
In his Nichols debut, junior
Jacob Andreozzi joined sophomore
Tyler Pearson in a three-way tie for 16
th individually, with the Bison duo each carding a 158 (+16) to lead the way. Graduate student
Luke Sargent tied for 28
th at +21 (163), which included a pair of birdies in the opening round, while classmate
Jake Goldberg took 37
th after carding a +29 (171) through the two rounds.
Senior
Evan Libby rounded out the Bison competitors, finishing two strokes back of Goldberg for at 173 (+31), landing him in 38
th place.
Nichols will return to action April 18-19 at the St. Joseph's-Long Island Invitational, hosted at the Bellport Country Club in Bellport, New York.
