DUDLEY, Mass. (4/29/2025) – The 2025 CNE Regular Season Champion Nichols men's tennis team begins its hunt for the program's 15
th conference title with a Semifinal matchup against No. 4 seeded Endicott College on Wednesday.
It is Nichols' 22
nd all-time appearance in the conference tournament, and their 17
th in the last 18 seasons. The winner of Wednesday's semifinal will advance to the CNE Championship on Saturday (May 3
rd) to face the winner of the No. 3 Colby-Sawyer at No. 2 Roger Williams match, with the Bison seeking their fourth consecutive conference title.

How The Bison Got Here: Nichols has faced off against some of the toughest competition in the region this spring, and enters Wednesday's semifinal contest with a 10-11 overall record with an undefeated 9-0 mark in conference play.
The Bison have also outscored their opponents by an astonishing 58-5 margin in those nine conference contests, with their final regular season victory coming against second-seeded Roger Williams University, 6-1 back on April 23
rd.
The Opponent: Wednesday marks the fourth straight semifinal appearance for Endicott, who owns a 9-8 overall record with a 6-3 mark in conference play. The fourth-seeded Gulls drew No. 5 Gordon College in their first-round matchup, and defeated the Fighting Scots by a final score of 4-2. Endicott also has wins in four of their last five games, with their lone loss coming against No. 52 (ITA) ranked Connecticut College.
The two teams last met back on March 28
th, with the Bison sweeping the Gulls by a score of 7-0 on the road. Wednesday's tilt will also be a rematch of last season's Commonwealth Coast Conference (now CNE) Championship, where the Bison took the victory, 5-0.
Nichols is 21-3 all-time against Endicott, including a 14-1 record at home.
Who to Watch: Senior
Jose Nunez leads the Bison in overall conference singles wins with a perfect 5-0 record as primary No. 2 player, and is tied for the team lead in overall wins with an 8-4 record on the year. Joining him are fellow seniors
Enzo Matos Balleux (8-8) and
Kerem Subasi (8-6), with both players also owning undefeated marks in conference play.
Returning seniors
Richard Hartmann Luzio and
Caio Dieckmann make up Nichols' top doubles tandem, and hold a team-leading 9-8 (5-0 CNE) record on the season.
