BELLPORT, N.Y. (4/19/2025) – The Nichols College men's golf team finished in fourth place at the St. Joseph's – Long Island Invitational with a two-round total of 626 (+31) at the par-71 Bellport Country Club.
The result is the second highest team finish for the Bison in any tournament this season. Arcadia University took the team medal as 611 (+43), six strokes ahead of tournament runner-up Alvernia University (+49).
Highlighting the weekend for the Bison was graduate student
Jake Goldberg who finished in a three-way tie for fifth individually, scoring 16 pars and six birdies through the two rounds to card 153 (+11), earning his second career top-10 finish. Classmate
Luke Sargent, as well as sophomore
Tyler Pearson finished two-strokes back of Goldberg in a tie for 8
th, turning in matching scores of 155 (+13).
Senior
Evan Libby was next on the leaderboard for the Bison, taking 18
th place at 21-over par (163), improving his score on the second day by one stroke. Junior
Jacob Andreozzi completed the list in a four-way tie for 22
nd, carding a 170 (+28) through the two rounds.
Men's golf will compete one more time this spring at the Worcester Sate Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational on Monday, April 28
th.
