Houghton Earns 300th Career Point in Loss to Endicott

DUDLEY, Mass. (4/1/2025) - Nichols College women's lacrosse senior Hadley Houghton recorded her 300th career point Tuesday night in a 21-10 loss to Endicott College in conference play at Vendetti Field.

The loss comes as the first of the season for the Bison, who drop to 8-1 (2-1 CNE) overall. Endicott improves to 7-3 (3-0 CNE) with the win.

Freshman Sienna Reeves led the Bison with five goals on the night, alongside six shots on goal and one ground ball. Houghton and junior Emma Patton each had four points, scoring two goals and two assists, while Houghton also led the team with six draw controls, five ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Briar Slattery (8-1) got the loss in the net, stopping four of 23 shots. Kaleigh Seal punched in for 7:53 of relief work, making one save.

Endicott opened the game with seven unanswered goals, but the Bison offense came to life late in the first quarter with back-to-back goals from Reeves and Houghton, cutting the deficit to 7-2. It did not stop there, however, as the hosts piled on another 4-0 run through the first five minutes of the second quarter, including another pair of unassisted strikes from Reeves to bring the Bison to within one of the Gulls, 7-6. The two sides continued to trade goals the remainder of the half, with Endicott clinging to a 10-7 lead at the break.

The Bison faced a difficult second half, stringing together just three goals the whole way through from Patton, Reeves and Kasey Litwin. Meanwhile, the Gulls were able to rediscover their offensive rhythm, and exploded for six third quarter goals and four more in the fourth, completing the 21-10 victory.

The Bison travel to conference opponent University of New England (4-6, 3-2 CNE) on Saturday, April 5th for a 4:00 PM draw at Blue Bolt Field.
