WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (3/5/2025) – The Nichols College baseball team dropped their first contest of the 2025 season at the hands of the University of St. Joseph's Blue Jays on Wednesday afternoon. The Bison managed three hits in the 9-2 loss.

Senior Karl Miller, juniors Dylan Moran and Julian Galvan all recorded a hit in the game, Moran scored both Miller and Galvan in the fourth inning.

USJ opened the scoring in the third inning, with a two RBI double to left and added two more runs in the inning with a hit-by-pitch and a walk with the bases loaded. The Bison trailed 4-0 headed into the fourth inning.

In the fourth inning, the Bison offense showed some life with back-to-back singles. Moran singled to left field, scoring both Miller and Galvan to cut the Blue Jays lead in half. Nichols trailed 4-2, before USK extended the lead with a solo home run.

The Blue Jays tacked on two runs in the fifth and sixth to take a 9-2 lead and win the game.
