POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. –
Nichols women's golf opened up the 2025 spring season with a sixth-place finish at the Vassar College Invitational, shooting a team score of 422 (+134) at the Casperkill Country Club.
The single-round tournament featured six participating teams, with Babson University taking the win with a score of 311 (+23), six strokes ahead of runner-up Wesleyan (CT).
Freshman
Isabella Fleury fired a 25-over par, 97 on the day, logging three pars on the back nine holes to finish in 26
th individually. Junior
Kaitlin Baca posted a round of 105 (+33), placing 28
th, while sophomore
Gabrielle Maranchie finished four strokes back of Baca to place 30
th, carding a 109 (+37).
Freshman
Eva Melanson came in right behind Maranchie, placing 31
st with a score of 111 (+39), while senior
Keely Griffin rounded out the five-player lineup in 33
rd, carding a 134 (+62).
Nichols will next compete in the Westfield State Invitational on Saturday, April 12
th at the Tekoa Country Club.
