DUDLEY, Mass. (3/25/2025) – The Nichols College Division of Athletics and Vice President & Director of Athletics
Jack Hayes have announced that
Kelsey Buckley will be the 14
th Head Field Hockey Coach. Buckley comes to the Bison after spending time at Wheaton College (Mass.).

Kelsey Buckley join Nichols College as our Head Field Hockey coach", said Hayes. "Her passion for the sport, coaching experiences at the regional levels, and knowledge of Nichols made her the ideal choice to lead the program."

Buckley was an assistant with Wheaton College field hockey team over the past two seasons. In her time with the Lyons, she coached one NFHCA (National Field Hockey Coaches Association) First Team selection, one NEWMAC All-Conference First Team honoree, and one Second Team All-Conference member.
Academically, the Lyons saw 11 total student-athletes named NFHCA Scholars of Distinction, 27 members on the NFHCA National Academic Squad, and 21 NEWMAC Academic All-Conference members in her two years at Wheaton.
As well as coaching at Wheaton, Buckley also works for the New England Stars Field Hockey Club and holds her Strength & Conditioning Certification from NSCA (CSCS).
A 2018 graduate of Wheaton College with a Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Science, she enjoyed an outstanding four-year career with Wheaton as one of the best offensive players in program history. Buckley stands 10th on the Lyons' career scoring list with 64 points and ranks sixth with 29 goals. The New Hampshire native was excellent in the classroom as well, being named a National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Award winner on multiple occasions in addition to earning NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors. The former Co-Captain finished her tenure at Wheaton with 68 career games played and was a starter in her final three campaigns for the Lyons.
Buckley and the Field Hockey team turn their attention to the 2025 Fall season.
