Benson Lands on CNE All-40th Women's Soccer Team

Conference of New England (CNE) All-40th Women's Soccer Team Release

BEVERLEY, Mass. (2/13/25) –
The Nichols College Bison women's soccer team saw one member honored as the Conference of New England (CNE) announced their All-40th Team Thursday afternoon. Lisa Benson represented the Bison on the list.

The minimum criteria for the list began with at least three First Team All-Conference selections or at least one Player of the Year honor. Both current and former league members can earn recognition on the teams.

Benson '05, a three-time member on the First Team All-Conference list sees her name all over the record book for Nichols. Benson is tied for first with the most goals in a game (4), first in points in a match (9), seconds for goals in a season (25) and a career (62). Benson also ranks second all-time in points in a single season with 52 points in 2001 and also posted 138 points in her career.

Benson was inducted into the Nichols College Division of Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010 after a storied career on "The Hill". She helped Nichols to their first CCC Championship and a trip to the NCAA tournament as well.

The 40th Anniversary campaign runs parallel to the league's new naming and branding initiative that was launched in August. This celebration also serves as a platform to highlight the conference's achievements, hone its history, and generate enthusiasm for future endeavors.
