Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

Men's Ice Hockey Stopped by No. 12 Endicott Before The Break

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (12/6/2025) - The Nichols College men's ice hockey team hosted the No. 12 Endicott College Gulls at Levy Rink on Saturday in their 10th match of the season, seventh conference competition to boot. When skates came off the ice the final score ended in favor of the Gulls, 0-4.

With the conclusion of the match and the loss for Nichols, their overall record drops to 4-6-0 on the season, 3-4-0 for conference. Endicott improves with their win, 6-1-1 for the year and 4-1-1 in the Conference of New England.

The Bison struggled offensively in the first period, only seeing three shots to the Gulls' 17. Despite the fact, Nichols saw a good amount of time in the attacking zone for the first portion of the period. At 5:20, Endicott was able to capitalize on a power-play and put one in the back of the net, putting the Gulls up 1-0. Close after at 3:52, Endicott posted another goal in even-strength wrapping up the first period with the score 0-2, Endicott up.

In the second period, the Gulls were awarded a penalty shot after a close-call close to the net. At 14:57, goaltender Henry Ryan was able to keep Endicott from scoring on the one-on-one contest, halting the Gulls' scoring efforts for a time. On transition from a face-off Endicott sunk their third score of the game at 10:48, followed by their last score of the game at 5:31. Nichols was able to improve their shot looks this period nonetheless, posting 12 shots in the period.

The third period was scoreless for both teams. The Bison were able to defend their side of the ice well with face-off wins and a block coming from CJ Zezima. Nichols led the game in blocks with their 14, a highlight for the team. Face-offs were relatively even as well, winning 29 of the 61. Tristan Kimmen led the team in shots with his four, followed by Jacob Ammar and Luca Ricci with their three.

The Bison will return for the Boston Landing Invitational on Saturday, January 3rd after the break. Against SUNY Potsdam with a start time of 4:40 PM.
