CSC Academic All-District Release

GREENWOOD, Ind. (12/16/2025) -
A trio from the Nichols College women's volleyball program were selected to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Graduate student Ruby St. Onge, senior Maille Ianniruberto, and sophomore Gabrielle McKayle were the three Bison on this year's All-District team, marking the most CSC selections in program history.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

St. Onge, a native of Coventry, Connecticut, is making her second appearance on the CSC All-District Team, pairing a 3.66 undergraduate GPA with a perfect 4.0 as a graduate student. As one of Nichols' go-to setters, she appeared in 25 matches and 86 sets during the season, totaled a team-best 417 assists with an average of 4.85 per set, and also contributed 44 service aces, 160 digs and  20 kills. Her season was also highlighted by her 1,000th assist in the team's 3-0 win over the University of Hartford, becoming just the second player in program history to do so.

Ianniruberto, a middle hitter from Beacon Falls, Connecticut, holds a 3.62 GPA as an international business major. In just her third season with the program, she appeared in 26 matches for a total of 85 sets played, totaling 98 kills with 28 service aces, 37 digs, and a team-high 45 blocks. Throughout the campaign, she  totaled three outings with double-figure kills, including 12 kills in the team's five-set thriller against Keene State College on September 9th. She also joined elite company this season, becoming the program's all-time leader in career solo blocks on October 30th.

McKayle rounds out the list as a criminal psychology major with a 3.87 GPA. The outside/right side hitter from Vernon, Connecticut  made huge strides in her second season, appearing in 27 matches and 89 sets while compiling new career-best marks in nearly every statistical category, with her stat line featuring 40 kills, 25 digs, 23 blocks, four assists and three service aces.  Her block total also included a career-high three at Curry College on October 27th, which helped guide the Bison to victory over the Colonels, 3-1.

Both Ianniruberto and McKayle are first-time recipients of CSC Academic All-District honors.
