Women’s Soccer Earns Six CSC Academic All-District Honorees

DUDLEY, Mass. (11/25/2025) – The women's soccer program was recognized with six players on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday. 
 
The women's soccer CSC Academic All-District includes:
Sophomore forward Haley Bethin: Bethin was a key contributor up front for the Bison, appearing in 17 games and making 13 starts. She scored two goals and added two assists for six points. She logged 1,058 minutes on the field in 2025. Bethin currently holds a 3.94 GPA in marketing.
Sophomore midfielder Summer Bruno: Bruno appeared and started in all 18 games, scoring two goals for four points. She played 1,561 minutes in the 18 games, playing the full 90 minutes in 11 of those games. She has a 3.73 GPA.
Sophomore midfielder Avery Gravel: Gravel saw the field in all 18 games as a sophomore, making starts in three of them. She holds a 3.89 GPA.
Senior midfielder Taylor Pickering: In the 17 games played as a senior, Pickering made six starts on defense and in the midfield. She totaled five shots in the season, all of which were on goal. Pickering currently holds a 3.98 GPA in sport management.
Sophomore defender Alyssa Senecal: Appearing and starting in 18 games, Senecal never left the field for the Bison, playing the full 90 minutes in every game this season. She recorded one assist against Endicott for one point in the season, and has a GPA of 3.90
Graduate student Caroline Shields: A team captain, Shields' presence on the field was unmissable. In the 18 matches she started, she scored two goals for two points, including a game-winning goal against Fitchburg State on 9/9.  She logged 1,541 minutes this season and played the full 90 minutes in 13 of those games. Shields finished her undergraduate with a 3.908, and currently has a graduate GPA of 4.0.
 
To qualify for CSC Academic all-district, the athlete must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 or better, and have competed in at least 90% of games played, or started at least 66% of contests. A maximum of six athletes per team may be recognized each year.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
