SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (11/15/2025) – In their final game of the 2025 season, the Nichols football team shouldered a 63-20 loss to conference host Western New England University on Saturday afternoon at Golden Bear Stadium.
The Bison wrap up the fall with a 2-8 (2-5 CNE) overall record.
The Bison offense finished the day with 334 total yards against the Golden Bears, with senior quarterback
Ian Snow throwing for 283 yards and two touchdowns. From the receiving end, graduate student
Jack Morvan brought in six catches for 108 yards, which made him the program's all-time leader in career receptions (187), adding to his already impressive resume of program records this season. Fellow receiver
Aaron Canuel also totaled 108 receiving yards on three receptions, including a long of 73 yards and a touchdown, while
Carson Clark rushed for 37 yards on 14 attempts to lead the Bison run game. Defensively,
Martin Marange and
Caden Kehoe each logged seven tackles.
The Golden Bears blew the game open with a 28-point first quarter, all the while holding Nichols scoreless. However, the Bison started pushing back in the second quarter with a pair of touchdowns, beginning with
Kevin Fuoroli Jr. on a 4
th and two play that trimmed the WNE lead to 28-7. The Golden Bears answered with two more scores to expand their lead to 42-7, before
Ricardo Navedo ran the ball in from five yards out with 1:42 left to play, which would bring the score to 42-14 at halftime.
The Bison would only manage one more touchdown in the second half, which would be the 73-yard missile downfield from Snow that found Canuel for his lone touchdown of the day. WNE would ultimately win the contest by the 63-20 final score.
