Beverly, Mass. (11/10/2025) – Grafton, New Brunswick native
Nick Brennan etched his name into the Conference of New England honors this week, earning the CNE Rookie of the Week award for the week of November 10th. The freshman forward was a key asset in the Bison's success this past weekend, finishing with 3 goals and 1 assist for 4 points and +1 in the two games to help the Bison go 2-0-0 (1-0-0 CNE).
In Friday's game at the Levy Rink against Rivier University, Brennan scored a goal on the power-play to help secure a 4-3 OT win for the Bison. He went 50% from faceoffs and scored on the only shot he took on the night, ending with a 1.000% shot-to-goal percentage.
In Saturday's game at home against Roger Williams University, Brennan recorded 2 goals and an assist for 3 points and a +2 on the night to help the Bison secure a commanding 7-1 victory over the Hawks. His first goal of the night would go down as the game-winner. He also won 4 of the 7 faceoffs he took. This was the first time the men's ice hockey program won their conference opener since the 2023-24 season, when they beat Wentworth Institute of Technology 2-1 at the Levy Rink.
The last student-athlete from the men's ice hockey program to win CNE Rookie of the Week was
Ryan Austin, when he was honored on January 27, 2025, for his 2 goals and an assist on the week.
Brennan and the men's ice hockey team return to action on Friday, November 14th at 3:40 PM, when they host Johnson & Wales University at the Levy Rink for a Conference of New England matchup.
