Pair of Hat Tricks Powers Bison Past Framingham State, 8-1

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (11/1/2025) – Freshman forwards Riley Devlin and Kaylyn Bourque both recorded a hat trick, and Kasey Litwin added a pair of goals as the Nichols College women's ice hockey team cruised to an 8-1 victory over Framingham State University on Saturday evening in non-conference action.

The Bison stay undefeated on the season at 2-0-0 (0-0-0 CNE) while Framingham State drops to 0-2.

The Bison came out firing, netting two goals in the opening six minutes of play. Riley Devlin (1) opened the scoring at 5:15 off an assist from Isabelle Brennan, and just 33 seconds later, Kaylyn Bourque (1) doubled the Nichols lead with an unassisted goal. The Rams cut the deficit to one later in the period on a goal from Jamie Webster, but the Bison carried a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.

Nichols took full control in the second period, scoring four unanswered goals. Devlin completed her hat trick with goals at 3:30 (2) and 4:21 (3) to extend the Bison lead to 4-1. Kasey Litwin (1) joined the stat sheet midway through the frame, converting a power-play goal at 10:33 from Brennan and Keira Goffe. Litwin (2) added her second of the night at 16:06 with help from Sienna Reeves, capping off a dominant second period that saw Nichols outshoot Framingham State 20-4. The Bison held a 6-1 lead going into the third period.

The Bison carried the momentum into the third period, adding another 2 unanswered goals. Bourque (2) found the back of the net at 2:57, finishing a setup from Angalisa Caceda and Sienna Reeves to extend the Bison lead. Just over four minutes later, Bourque (3) struck again unassisted at 7:20 to cap off her hat trick and a dominant offensive performance. The Bison sealed the 8-1 victory on the road.

The Bison outshot the Rams 42 to 20 and went 1-for-5 on the power play, while holding Framingham State scoreless on their three opportunities. Nichols won faceoffs 34 to 24 on the night.

Sophomore goaltender Taylor Daley earned the win in net, stopping 19 of 20 shots for a .950 save percentage.

Nichols will look to carry the momentum into next weekend when the Bison return to the Levy Rink on Friday, November 7th, for their Conference of New England opener against Johnson & Wales University. Puck drop is set for 3:40 PM.
