Women’s Soccer Lose Season Finale to Suffolk University

EAST BOSTON, Mass. (10/29/2025) – In the season finale for the Nichols women's soccer program, the Bison traveled to East Boston, Massachusetts, to face Suffolk University on a chilly Wednesday night. In the match, the Bison were unable to keep pace, resulting in a 5-0 loss to end the season.
 
Nichols wraps up the season with a record of 1-16-1 (0-10 CNE), while Suffolk moves to 9-3-5 (4-3-3 CNE), clinching the 6th seed in the CNE playoffs.
 
Suffolk opened the scoring in the 12th minute, when Daniela Petronio netted her 6th goal of the season. In the 26th minute, Lily Goldmann doubled the lead for the Rams. 
 
Suffolk added a third goal in the 39th minute, as Makena Columbus found space and placed her shot past the goalkeeper for her first goal of the season. Bria Baughman made it 4-0 less than three minutes later, and in the final moments of the half, Goldmann tallied her second of the match off a pass from Columbus, sending Suffolk into the break with a 5-0 advantage.
 
Nichols' defense tightened up significantly in the second half, holding Suffolk scoreless over the final 45 minutes.
 
Graduate student Caroline Shields recorded the most shots in the game and played all 90 minutes in her last collegiate game. Seniors Abigail Graham and Taylor Pickering also competed in their final collegiate game on the night.
 
In goal, Nichols started with Hannah Deschene, who played for 45 minutes and made 5 saves. The second half saw Isabella Dupret come in for the final 45 minutes, making 3 saves and allowing no goals.
 
With the completion of the match, the Bison have completed their 2025 campaign.
