BEVERLY, Mass. (10/27/2025) – Nichols College field hockey forward Lily Gibson has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Gibson earns her first Rookie of the Week honor from the conference, and is the first player for the program this season to garner weekly recognition.

The first-year forward led the Bison offense last week with three total points, scoring one goal and one assist in the team's 3-0 shutout of Gordon College, clinching them the final spot in the upcoming CNE Tournament. Her performance was her second multi-point effort of the season, and also included six shot attempts (with four on goal). 

Gibson and the Bison are back at Vendetti Field for their final home game of the fall season against Elms College (0-16, 0-10 GNAC), beginning at 7:00 PM.
