BREWSTER, Mass. (10/19/2025) – The Nichols women's golf team wrapped up its fall slate as the team combined to shoot a program-best 154-over 730 and place third at the 2025 NEIGA Championship on Sunday afternoon at the Captains Golf Course.
Nichols finished 16 strokes ahead of fourth place finisher Husson University (+170), while Bates College earned the team medal at 55-over 631.
Nichols was led overall by sophomore Isabella Fluery, who carded a two-round total of 22-over 166 to crack the top-10 on the leaderboard, finishing 7
th individually with two birdies- her best two-round performance of the season, and another program record. Junior
Felicia Zander and senior
Kaitlin Baca were the next in line for the Bison squad, equally carding a 38-over 182 to finish in a five-way tie for 14
th on the leaderboard.
Sophomore
Eva Melanson improved her performance by six strokes in the closing round on Sunday, earning herself a 27
th finish with an even 200 (+56). Junior
Gabrielle Maranchie was close behind in 28
th with a 208 (+64), additionally improving her score by six strokes in the final round, while freshman
Cynthia Fang claimed 31
st at 211 (+67) as Nichols' individual entry.
The Bison will await their spring schedule, with times and locations expected at a later date.
