The Vikings opened the scoring at the 5:33 mark to grab a 1-0 lead. The Bison were equal to the task and cashed in nine minutes later as a shot from the left circle snuck through the pads of the Viking net-minder and across the line. Carl and Lee added assists on the equalizer. The Bison outshot the Vikings 15-11 in the opening frame.

Allegrini scored his third goal of the season to break a 1-1 tie at the 1:10 mark of the second. Allegrini ripped a screened shot from the point tat snuck past the net minder for a 2-1 Bison lead. Zezima cashed in on the power-play with just over five minutes remaining in the second period for a 3-1 lead into the second period intermission.
