BLAINE, Minn. (1/10/2025) – The Nichols College women's ice hockey team dropped a non-conference match up against Bethel University 4-0 on Friday night from Bethel University Arena.

Senior goaltender Anamary Pulgar made 25 saves while shouldering the loss. Freshman Alexis Pacheco led the team offensively with seven shots, with four on goal.

The Royals scored a pair of goals in the first period to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. Another goal in the second period extended the Bethel lead, before they grabbed a short-handed goal in the third period, and won the game 4-0.

Nichols was 0-5 on the power-play and 1-1 on the penalty kill.

Nichols will look to bounce back against the Royals with an afternoon match-up. Puck drop is set for 2:00 p.m. CT and 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 11.
