Springfield, Mass. (4/10/2024) – The spring non-traditional season continued for the Nichols College Women's Tennis Team as they traveled to Springfield for a match against the Pride. The Bison found their way back into the win column with a 6-3 final score.

Nichols moves to 11-6 on the year and ties up the all-time record with the Pride 2-2.

The Bison were in a hole after doubles as they dropped all three matchups and trailed 3-0. The closest battle was thanks to a new pairing at number three in Erin Heely and Kiley O'Brien, who dropped their matchup 8-6.

Singles play was a different story, as the Bison swept and earned all six points. Three of those wins came in straight sets: Johanna Schroeder at number two 6-4, 7-5, Charis Vogler at three 6-2, 6-3, and Cora Brosch at four 7-6, 7-5. Antonia Carrero and Bethany Prendergast won their matchups in the tiebreak sets at one and six respectively. Sofia Leonardi won by the opponent's retirement at five.

The Bison are set to wrap up their spring schedule with a match tomorrow, Thursday, April 11th as they take on the University of New Haven. That match is set to start at 3:30 PM in West Haven, Connecticut at the New Haven Tennis Courts.
