With just under five minutes to go in the third period, Nichols earned a power-play following a scrumb. Lee won the opening face off cleanly back to Kimmen who passed off to Bjorkman, after some puck movement, Bjorkman laid a pass off to Kimmen, whose one timed shot was deflected by Lee.
