WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (12/6/2024) – The Nichols College women's hockey teamed dropped a Conference of New England (CNE) match-up with Western New England, on Friday night from Olympia Ice Center. The Bison lost 5-0 to the Golden Bears.

Senior McKenzie Muir shouldered the loss for the Bison stopping 31 shots. Graduate Student Grace Melanson lead the way for the Bison in the face-off circle winning 13 or 22 draws.

The Golden Bears opened the scoring in the first period and took that 1-0 lead into the dressing room. Western New England then exploded for four goals to take a 5-0 lead and hang on for a 5-0 win over Nichols.

Nichols (5-5-0, 2-4-0 CNE) will welcome Western New England to Levy Rink for a 4:40 p.m. match up on Saturday afternoon.
